Climbing
Key

Climbers around PE entertain themselves with almost every perceivable discipline from trad climbing to deepwater soloing. The most popular climbing venue is the Van Stadens Gorge which is home to over 300 sport routes, 200 trad routes and 2 minor bouldering spots. With many crags of varying aspects, climbing here can happen almost year round.

The Lady's Slipper, PE's local mountain is a great venue for a budding traditionalist with over 300 easy to moderate lines as well as around 100 boulder problems. The backside of this mountain, Damasqua Ridge has somewhat untapped bouldering potential for an enthusiastic would be first ascensionist who is willing to brave the approach. Shaded areas of this mountain can get very cold and windy in winter as they almost never receive sun.
