This obvious large flat boulder has a prominent overhang about 20m along the path from the Slab Boulder and offered a surprising number of problems with Who'd have Thunk being the pick of the unexpected quality.

Approach

Follow the path from The Old Lodge which heads towards the Arches and Tarns. Cross the small stream close to The Old Lodge and follow the path up a gentle inclineon the left-hand bank of the stream. Roof Boulder is above and slightly back (toward The Old Lodge) of the first tarn.

  • Upon reaching the first Tarn, turn almost 180 degrees left and follow a rising path up the bank/ridge.
  • Roof Boulder is the first boulder you reach

Easy scramble off the back of the boulder.
