Alois Marume left Zimbabwe in search of a better life, in search of opportunities. Jeff Ayliffe talks to Alois about his journey from accepting menial labor as a gardener to being accepted and embraced into the Cape paragliding fraternity. First, as a porter carrying paragliders up the steep slopes of Lions Head for the Tandem Paragliding companies offering tourist flights from the mountainside, then into one of the local paragliding factories, and then finally to achieving the un-imaginable - qualifying as a Tandem Flight Instructor and flying multitudes of tourists on unforgettable experiences in Cape Town.Always the happiest person on The Hill, Alois recounts his journey, his friends, and the community he has found.
