The easiest approach is to follow the Circular Route taking the alternative path towards the SE arete that avoids the chains. Once the path rounds the SE arete it climbs steeply up to a large flat platform. Negotiate a fence and walk left along the vegetated band. Follow this to the base of Naughty Buttress. Alternatively, one might climb the first pitch of a route in the Clifton Sector and then walk right across the vegetated band to the buttress.
On the top of the buttress on the right hand side is a large prong of rock that provides an easy sling point to abseil back down to the broad ledge. Alternatively, scramble easily down the slopes to the south of the buttress.
