Overshadowed by Africa Ledge and Fountain Ledge largely because we are too lazy these days to put effort into getting there, coupled with the serious nature of the outing, means that routes here are, sadly, seldom climbed these days. By far the most alpine in the nature sector on this section of Table Mountain (only Fernkloof is bigger and more committing), routes here are treated more like Alpine Rock routes (i.e., climb with your packs/gear) as it is impractical to return to the base.
Africa Ravine is, also, literally overshadowed by Africa Ledge as it starts lower than Africa Ledge, however, it makes sense to include it in Africa Ledge rather than a standalone sector (that crosses Africa Ledge)
Start up India Venster and before the rock scrambles, traverse left into Africa Ravine.
Use the cable car or return via India Venster or Platteklip.
