Just out of Paarl and Worcester, Du Toitskloof climbing is a well known and reputable trad climbing destination. The rock type is mostly sandstone, making for great frictional texture. Routes grades range from moderate to intermediate and hard as well as many of them being multi-pitch some 8-12 pitches, requiring a full day or more with experience and route finding skills being a requirement. The Yellowood Amphitheatre nearby contains some of South Africa's best and hardest big wall trad routes.
