Start approximately 20 meters to the left (around the corner) of the North-West Pillar route on the north-west corner of the mountain.
1. 20m (3): Climb directly up the face above the starting beacon for six meters, then move right and up a semi-layback crack to a small stance behind
a large block.
2. 25m (5a): Climb to the left into the bottom of the left-hand crack. The first three meters is strenuous, but higher up the crack widens, thus enabling one
to chimney. Continue upwards until the crack closes in, and then exit to the right onto a meter wide ledge with an overhang above.
3. 15m (5a): Directly above the stance the overhang is turned by climbing up a recess. A small platform on the top of the overhang provides a good stance.
Ascend the face directly above the stance to a broad ledge, at the back of which a dassie crawl appears to go right through the mountain. (It is possible
to joint the North-West Pillar route at this point).
4. 30m (5b): Starting from the extreme left-hand edge of the ledge, hand-swing around the corner to the left over an airy drop, and continue up the face for five
meters by using a series of mantelshelf moves. A narrow ledge enables one to traverse back to the right for approximately 15 meters to a point almost directly
above the top of the last pitch. Here a delicate move to the right around a bulge into the bottom of a recess enables one to climb the recess for 10 meters to a
ledge.
5. 10m (3-): Continue straight up the face to the top.
Note: Although not strictly on the Main Wall this route is included in this sector for ease of use.
