This route is the best descent from the Spout, but it is advisable to climb it first before descending it. Start as for The Original Route.
Climb inside the crack and move up this till able to exit right onto the big ledge. At this level move right along this ledge for about 100 meters to reach the big shoulder on the right of the peak. This is an undulating and exposed traverse, taking in some interesting moves, including a step around a suspect block. Once on the shoulder, find your way behind some huge blocks to gain the high ledge below some high roofs. Move left here to gain the easy break which is climbed to the top.
