Aspect and Weather
Milestone is south facing and gets shade all day. A great place to climb on a hot day but during winter may be very cold.
Climbing
The climbing here is quite short and has a fairly low grade spread. The crag is slabby but the nature of the rock can be hard to read for those not used to the style making the routes quite technical. Bring a brush for dirty holds as this crag is not well trafficked.
Base
The base is generally quite flat and comfortable, but this crag does not see much traffic and so it may need to be flattened out and vegetation removed. There are nice pools for swimming on a hot day.
Approach
From the parking follow the dirt road passed some houses on your left, the road turns to a 4x4 track with a garage on your right. Follow this track into the gorge as it turns to a steep concrete road. Walk down the road, passed the water pump-house and down the stairs. Head upstream up a small ladder and onto a small dam wall. The crag is the small rock outcrop in front of you.
