Approach
Follow the Aasvoel Krans Hiking Trail (keeping left when there are splits in the trail), up the slopes, past a big boulder to reach a nek between the small summit of Aasvoel Krans on the right and the huge massif of Cogman's Buttress on your left. About 10 metres before the nek where the path veers sharp right to head for the top of the peaklet, take a path heading to the left, over flattish ground. Ten veering slightly up and right towards the top of a ridge which overlooks the Castle Prow. Scramble down the other side, over a rusted fence and head to the base of Castle Prow.
