All the climbs in the sector are single-pitch routes. The sector is named after the prominent overhang some 120m to the right of the chains and near the rightmost end of this sector. To get to the starts of these routes walk to the right along the ledge at the start of the chains on the Circular Route. These climbs are described from left to right. The first route is about 30m along the ledge, just before a black, water-worn slab at the base of a chute.
This one of the most popular sectors on Lionshead.
Note that the original names of most of these routes and their opening parties are unknown. The names given here were allocated by David Mercer in his 2008 guidebook, "A Climber's Guide to Lion's Head." He used the names of Johnny Cash songs.
