A boulder masquarading as a rock outcrop, situated at the top of the ridge mid-way between the Wave Boulder and The Roof Boulder. The face facing South and into the small valley has two prominent faces - a grey slab on the right above a small boulder and rock wall (a single pad protects this rock) with the rightward tending crack (Se-Slab-athebe) and the steep reddish face left of the corner (FA all the way).
The landing is typical of the area (flat with grass) except for the small rock just right of Se-Slab-athebe.
Be mindful to avoid disrupting the rock walls and preserve the heritage.
Situated mid-way between The Warm Up Boulder and The Roof Boulder, the Slab Boulder can be approached from either side. The easiest approach is to continue past the Roof Boulder (back towards The Old Lodge) for 30m to find The Slab Boulder on your right.
Follow the path from The Old Lodge which heads towards the Arches and Tarns. Cross the small stream close to The Old Lodge and follow the path up a gentle incline on the left-hand bank of the stream. Roof Boulder is above and slightly back (toward The Old Lodge) of the first tarn.
Easily walk off the top toward the right.
