Key

While all of Muizenberg Peak is within National Park boundaries, there are no access points / gates. The area hosts a number of crags with varying aspects and climbing options for the beginner to very strong. All of the crags suffer 'schlawk' (a slimy coating of salty grease) coating the rock during pronounced South Easter winds.

Often climbable when Cape Town CBD is rainy, and The Mine is somewhat sheltered from light rain.

An obscure area developed by Guy Holwill in '06 but brought renewed credit in '14 with one of the county's hardest sport routes being opened.

Largely responsible for the Cape's reputation as a powerful, overhanging climbing venue, The Mine was, arguably, the first "REAL" hard-man's crag in Cape Town.

Another favourite crag for the intro / beginner climbers in Cape Town, Lakeside offers a number of friendly sport routes (and a trad line) in a convenient setting.
