Start: On the front of the square buttress directly below Arrow Final. The path to Fountain Ledge rounds the corner here. The first pitch is a square white wall, facing Cape Town.
1. 14m '12': From a block, step on to a steep face which has a chimney crack on the left. Climb a vague undercut crack on the right.
A walk of 50mplus, below a huge prow and the huge triangular block on it's right, leads to
a chimney in the wall facing Camps Bay.
2. 22m '12': Climb the chimney, and the recess above it using edges on the left. One is now on the big ledge below the final sections of Arrow Final proper. The next pitch is the undercut chimney on the right of the angled face of Arrow.
3. 15m '14': Climb the crack, which is very awkward in places, to a ledge with some small
trees.
4. 22m '12': Step onto a sloping slab, then up onto a grassy ledge on the left. Pull up past some jammed flakes in a corner, and mantelshelf on to a platform below a chimney gully. Move up into the gully where a stance can be made if desired, otherwise step up on to some rails on the wall on the left. Traverse left, then layback up a hidden slit to a stance which is the long sloping ledge on the front face of Arrow Final.
5. 25m '11': Climb the long face, passing one belay ledge, until the large ledge is reached which is flanked on the left by the big pillar block which the Cable Car nearly scrapes.
6. 20m '13': Climb the steep corner on the right at the back of the ledge by stepping off from a block. Move via some delicate reaches to a ledge below the overhangs. Step up to a crouched position below the overhangs and then move right to an exposed perch below a break in the overhangs. Some desperate searching finally reveals good hand holds on the side walls, which enable the chute to be climbed to the top.
Stay well clear of the cable station.
