25m left of the tea-cave a diagonal, layback fault runs up the right-hand side of a brown, recessed face. This is the start of Mane Lion. Pride starts about 3m to the left up a slightly overhanging, hand-jam crack on a dark, brown rock.

Walking right along the ledge gains the abseil point on top of the gendarme. Alternatively, the top can be reached in 2 or 3 easy, non-descript pitches.

P1 – 18m, 5b: Climb the crack to a narrow ledge. Climb the overhanging white face using the continuation of the crack to the broad, vegetated band above.

Cross the vegetated band to the base of a pronounced open book recess 20m left of the gendarme. The next pitch is on the right-hand wallof the open book recess.

P2 – 10m, 6b: “The Lightening Crack.” Approximately in the centre of the wall is an obvious, thin layback crack. Climb the crack and continue up the easy break above to a small ledge in a recess on the corner.

P3 – 30m, 5a: Climb straight up the arete on good but lichenous rock. About 25m up is a ledge with a large block on it. On the wall above the block are two cracks. Follow the left-hand crack to the ledge above.
