1. 27m '15': Climb straight up the face for 6m to the foot of a 3mdiagonal crack. Ascend the crack for a meter, move right on to the face under the narrow overhang. 3m above there is a handrail, and above this, under the narrow overhang, another. Move up to the upper handrail then traverse to the left. Ascend the slab with the crack in the right-hand corner to Upper Africa Ledge.
Cross Upper Africa Ledge to the right-hand corner through succulents and a squeeze chimney to a higher ledge (as for Africa Corner) below the large chimney.
2. 18m '12': Climb the chimney via the left-hand wall to the jammed double-chockstone.
Chimney up onto the chockstones.
3. 12m '13': Straddle out towards Cape Town (# 3.5 Friend is useful as gear here). Climb slightly down and using a sharp edge swing down left (looking out) onto a ramp which enables one to squeeze through a key hole and up to a long ledge. A unique pitch.
4. 18m: Walk right along the narrow ledge to just before some large blocks.
5. 12m '14': A series of semi layback moves in a shallow recess for 6 m lead to a small stance. Climb the left-hand wall of a recess to a large ledge. Scramble up to a large ledge next to the huge block.
6. 9m '12': The pitch starts under the overhang- above the higher ledge. Climb up slightly to the left to gain a good handrail under the overhang, and then traverse to the left and move up to a small stance at the left-hand extremity of the overhang.
7. 25m '13': Above the stance there is a recess with two handrails running across the face to the right. Climb a few feet up the recess and then traverse to the right under the small overhangs using the lower handrail.

Pitch 7: Alternatively: Climb the recess and then move on to a ledge running to the left. Stance at a point almost directly above the previous stance on a ledge with an over hanging slab above it and a block on the left. Just out of reach on the overhanging slab you will find the start of the abseil stations which take you down to Upper Africa Ledge.
